Treatment options in cosmetic dentistry:
Dental braces (fixed devices) and aligners (removable devices) help correct misaligned teeth. For aesthetic reasons, less conspicuous "clear" braces (made of natural tooth-colored ceramic) or externally invisible lingual braces (bonded to the back of the teeth) are used. Aligners are a cosmetic alternative to traditional braces that perform the same function but are made of a strong plastic material that makes them virtually invisible. Learn more

Dental filling are materials that are inserted into a decayed or damaged tooth where it halts the further spread of decay or repairs the damage. For cosmetic purposes we choose a composite substance (made of acrylic resin and glass)over silver amalgam as the filling material since the former’s white color enables it to match the tooth’s natural color. Dental porcelain has several characteristics that give them the ability to replicate both the form and function of your natural teeth. Not only are they durable (7 on the Mohs scale of mineral hardness) and biocompatible but also they are aesthetic since porcelain has a luster that is similar to that of natural teeth. So, be they veneers, crowns, bridges, inlays or onlays, porcelain can be sculpted to replicate the look of your natural tooth.
Porcelain dental veneers are ultra-thin, custom-made shells that cover the front surface of each tooth (to which they are bonded using a special adhesive). They are made to match the natural color of your teeth and can even be designed to change their apparent shape and size.
Veneers help resolve cosmetic problems such as chipped, broken, worn-down, discolored, or misaligned teeth, and gaps between teeth.
Veneers have become very popular due to their simplicity and versatility. When bonded, veneers are virtually undetectable and are also very resistant to coffee, tea, or cigarette stains (although we do not recommend that you use tobacco products).
Dental bridges help bridge the gap created by missing teeth. Besides their restorative benefits, porcelain bridges have the benefit of restoring a wholesome smile. They can be made to match the color, height, texture, and overall appearance of your natural teeth. Learn more
A dental crown is a restoration that is used to fully cover a damaged tooth. Besides strengthening a damaged tooth, a crown can be used to improve its appearance, shape or alignment. Learn more
Inlays and onlays are an alternative to tooth fillings in certain cases of damage/decay. Although they can be made of porcelain, gold, or composite resin, the use of porcelain is more advantageous due to its strength and ability to match the tooth’s natural color making it the ideal choice for both functional and aesthetic reasons. Teeth can get stained and worn over the years due to the food and medicines we consume and personal habits such as tobacco use. Teeth whitening offer a temporary solution to this problem.
While over-the-counter whitening solutions (e.g., toothpastes) are available, home remedies are not as effective as a professional in-office treatment by a dentist. Whitening is done after the teeth are professionally cleaned, restoring their natural appearance. Then, we use a diode laser system for laser-assisted teeth whitening. The laser system we use is capable of performing a full-mouth, in-office teeth whitening procedure with an average of just 20 minutes of chair time (not including set-up or take-down) making it one of the fastest in-office whitening system.
However, people suffering from gum diseases or who have had fillings, crowns, and other restorative procedures done on them must be careful when using teeth whitening systems. It is best to consult with your dentist for their advice on the most appropriate teeth whitening solution for you.
Composite bonding involves the repair of decayed, damaged (chipped, broken, cracked, worn-down), or discolored teeth using material (composite resin) that resembles the natural tooth color. It is one of the least expensive, and least invasive of all cosmetic dental procedures and can be completed in just one sitting and with minimal tooth removal. The dentist first drills out the tooth decay, if any. Next, the composite is applied onto the tooth's surface and sculpted into the right shape before being cured with a high-intensity light. This effectively covers the damage to the tooth and gives the appearance of a healthy tooth in its place.
Tooth loss impacts not only your enjoyment of food but also your smile and confidence. Dental implants are used to replace lost teeth and they look, feel, and function like natural teeth. Learn more
